From the sun-soaked Rotunda Terrace beside the lake to the spacious, contemporary Winery Room with its 270-degree panorama of the grounds, every part of Abel Estate is designed to showcase the natural beauty of the lake, vines and rolling hills. The stylish marquee on the lawn completes the picture — giving you a setting that’s stunning in any weather.
The character of the venue brings together the estate’s history — once home to the Abel & Co. winery and vineyard — with fully renovated dining, dancing and ceremony areas completed in 2023, and the addition of the marquee option in 2024.
A private suite is also available for couples to get ready on the day, and we can recommend nearby accommodation at a special discounted rate.

Choosing Abel Estate as our wedding venue was one of the easiest and most rewarding decisions we made during the wedding planning process.
Having been on the hunt for a venue for a while and not finding the right place is deflating. When we pulled up in the driveway we fell in love.
The location of the venue was absolutely stunning. Everyone remarked on how beautiful and peaceful it was.

Just 12 minutes from Abel Estate along quiet country roads, Chapman House offers a peaceful haven for couples, families, or the bridal party to relax and prepare in comfort. With space for up to 10 guests, it’s ideal for shared breakfasts, quiet moments together, or simply taking in the views before and after your wedding day.
Bookings are made directly through the property’s website on a first-come basis, where you’ll always receive the best available rate — at least 10% lower than Airbnb, Booking.com and similar sites.
Located at 1010 Scenic Drive North, Swanson, Chapman House features a modern kitchen, stylish bedrooms and bathrooms, and generous living areas that flow onto a large deck overlooking the city and surrounding native bush — a serene setting to begin and end your wedding weekend.

Can we have a lakeside ceremony?
Yes – the ceremony terrace is right next to the lake, with rows of vines visible on the hill overlooking the lake.
