If you’d like to include traditional Lechon in your wedding reception dinner, we’re happy for you to arrange purchase and set up for carving to add to the dining experience.
Special Filipino Menu
Our new Filipino menu offers a selection of ethnic dishes along with our standard offerings. This includes such favourites as Lumpia, Chicharron and Empanadas.
Karaoke & Dancing
Who doesn’t love to sing and dance at their wedding? We’ll make your wedding event more special with a Karaoke machine, and can also organise venue music or a DJ.
We opted in to rent the silk corner flowers from the venue for the rotunda and indoors which definitely added to the beauty of our photos.
The venue is fantastic, it’s very dreamy. The moment we saw Abel Estate we didn’t look anywhere else. We got everything that we wanted.
Filipino/Catholic Weddings FAQs
Does Abel Estate regularly host Filipino weddings?
Yes. Abel is suited to Filipino weddings of up to 100 guests, with exclusive use of the venue and grounds. The lake, gardens, indoor spaces and photo spots give you a private setting for ceremony, photos, dining and dancing.
Do you welcome Catholic wedding ceremonies?
Yes. Catholic ceremonies are welcome at Abel Estate. If you are arranging a Catholic ceremony, we can talk through timing, setup, music, family seating and how the ceremony will flow into photos, drinks, dining and the reception.
Can we include Filipino wedding traditions?
Yes. We can help plan the timing and flow around traditions such as sponsors, veil, cord, candle, family blessings, speeches and other important moments. Tell us what matters to your families and we will work it into the run sheet.
Can we have a church ceremony and reception at Abel?
Yes. If your ceremony is at a church, Abel can host the reception, photos and evening celebration. We can help plan arrival timing, family photos, dining, speeches and dancing so the day flows properly after the ceremony.
Can we choose food that works for our guests?
Yes. Abel offers food and drinks package options, with cultural dishes and dietary needs discussed during planning. We will talk through guest expectations, service timing and any specific food requirements before the day.
What happens if the weather changes?
Abel has indoor and covered options if the weather does not suit outdoor photos or parts of the day. We will talk through the backup plan before the wedding, so there is a clear wet-weather option.
