The rambling grounds at Abel Estate, along with the spacious Winery Room and 100-seat ceremony marquee, are a great combination for the increasing number of couples opting for a romantic winter wedding. As well as benefitting from lower winter prices, you also have a much higher chance of getting a Saturday date, particularly between June and August.

No matter how bad the wedding, the Winery Room feels spacious. With windows on three sides giving you a panoramic view, you still get to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Under-cover Ceremony
No need to worry about the rain on you winter wedding day, with our marquee seating up to 100 guests. For much smaller weddings you can get married indoors on the dancefloor.
Budget-friendly Prices
Substantial discounts are available on both the venue fee and the per-head cost of food and drinks. The largest savings are July to August. Ask us for more details.

Just 12 minutes from Abel Estate along quiet country roads, Chapman House offers a peaceful haven for couples, families, or the bridal party to relax and prepare in comfort. With space for up to 10 guests, it’s ideal for shared breakfasts, quiet moments together, or simply taking in the views before and after your wedding day.
Bookings are made directly through the property’s website on a first-come basis, where you’ll always receive the best available rate — at least 10% lower than Airbnb, Booking.com and similar sites.
Located at 1010 Scenic Drive North, Swanson, Chapman House features a modern kitchen, stylish bedrooms and bathrooms, and generous living areas that flow onto a large deck overlooking the city and surrounding native bush — a serene setting to begin and end your wedding weekend.
All of the food and drink were incredible, there was plenty for everyone at the tables, and the drink selection was wide enough to please all our guests.
The wet weather on the day forced us inside but provided a deeply intimate, personal and beautiful ceremony. Our indoor ceremony looked beautiful thanks to the flowery arch and other decorations
